The Heidolph Polymax 2040 waving platform shaker has a speed range of 2.5 to 50 rpm; a platform with a rubber nonslip mat that holds culture plates, media bottles, and Erlenmeyer flasks with a total weight of 10kg; a digital control knob for setting speed and an analog control knob for timed operation up to 120 minutes; and a platform tilt angle of 5 degrees for gentle three-dimensional (gyrating) agitation. When the set time has elapsed, an alarm sounds and the platform stops moving, or the unit can be set for continuous operation. Adding the Heidolph heating module and a hood (sold separately) provides variable temperature control up to 65 degrees C. This shaker is used in a variety of laboratory procedures, including cell culture, hematology, and chemical mixing.
This laboratory shaker has self-resetting overheating protection and an allowable ambient temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees C at 80% relative humidity. It is Ingress Protection certified IP20.
