The Applied BioSystems 3130 is a four-capillary electrophoresis instrument for a large catalog of sequencing and fragment analysis operations, including microsatellite analysis, AFLP, LOH, SNP validation, and SNP screening as well as de novo sequencing and resequencing (mutational profiling). Compatible with both 96-well and 384-well plates, it supports a read length up to 950 bp at a rate of 82,000 bases per day with its Ultra Rapid Sequencing protocol.
