Details: Amerex Instrument's Model HS-101 is a compact, bench-top hybridization oven. It incorporates a microprocessor temperature controller that, together with a large and quiet circulating fan, assures uniform and precise temperature control. The large 12.5" x 14.8" double paned glass window enables one to clearly and easily observe the inside of the entire stainless steel chamber. A rotisserie and three 40mm x 300 mm bottles are included. It can accommodate up to eight or sixteen 40-mm bottles, depending on their length. By replacing all the clips for the 40-mm bottles with optional clips for tubes, the rotisserie also can accommodate up to 16 x 50-mL, 24 x 15-mL, 32 x 1.5/2.0-mL tubes, or a combination of these. Because you can replace the rotisserie very quickly, we recommend a second rotisserie - one for bottles and another for tubes - if you are using bottles and tubes interchangeably and frequently. A special tube rotisserie that can accommodate 96 x 1.5/2.0-mL tubes is also available (photo below). For tri-directional rotation, one can easily offset the two bottle clips of the rotisserie assembly by up to 20 degrees to generate a rotary action that moves liquid from one end of the bottle to the other. The result is more rigorous washing action that allows the use of less probe solution and increases hybridization efficiency.
