Details: CHROMWARE integrated HPLC mobile phase handling systems have a four valve reservoir cap that incorporates the functions of both a filtration cap and a three valve cap. Once the four valve cap is screwed onto the reservoir it can stay on during an indefinite number of cycles of mobile phase filtration, sparging, and delivery. This means the inside of the reservoir can be isolated from both atmospheric gases and particulates for weeks or months as long as the mobile phase doesn't support bacterial growth. Tetrahydrofuran (THF), which is widely used as a mobile phase for GPC, attacks the Viton O-rings of the standard CHROMWARE. The only changes required to make an economy system THF-resistant are replace the standard inlet filters with all-stainless-steel inlet filters (BP-1916-621), and the Viton O-ring at the base of the three hole cap with a size 216 Kalrez O-ring (BP-1240-026).
