The Sartorius Corporation Secura3102-1S Balance is a toploading Secura series balance with a capacity of 3,100g, a readability of 10mg (0.01g), a 180mm diameter weighing pan, a color touchscreen, and 11 built-in applications for advanced lab weighing tasks, and it constantly monitors for proper leveling, calibration, and minimum sample weights according to USP (U.S. Pharmacopeia) standards. The touchscreen features icons and text prompts for intuitive operation. This balance has a mini-USB port for connecting a computer or lab printer (sold separately) for data transfer and output. The port allows direct data transfer to Microsoft applications, and automatically detects the connection of a Sartorius YDP30 or YDP40 printer. Direct data transfer requires a computer with a Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000 operating system. Data transfer will be temporarily blocked if leveling or calibration is required, or minimum sample weight is not met. To help ensure accuracy, the balance features a fully automatic internal temperature- and time-controlled calibration function (isoCAL) and provides assisted leveling with a level indicator shown on the display. The balance can also be calibrated using external weights, and records data for each calibration and leveling adjustment. A security ring and a fastening point for a Kensington key lock (sold separately) can be used to deter theft. A weighing port allows underfloor weighing of oversize containers. The balance comes with a universal power supply and 120V line cord. A precision toploading balance is used in laboratories and other indoor settings for determining the mass of a liquid, paste, powder, or solid sample.
