The touchscreen features icons and text prompts for intuitive operation. This balance has a mini-USB port for connecting a computer or lab printer (sold separately) for data transfer and output. The port allows direct data transfer to Microsoft applications, and automatically detects the connection of a Sartorius YDP40 printer. Direct data transfer requires a computer with a Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP, or 2000 operating system. A menu lock password-protects the menu, preventing tampering to preserve settings and maintain data integrity, and a security ring and a fastening point for a Kensington key lock (sold separately) can be used to deter theft. A weighing port allows underfloor weighing of oversize containers. The balance can be calibrated using external weights. Leveling is performed by manually adjusting the feet until the air bubble is properly centered in the level indicator. The balance comes with a universal power supply and 120V line cord.
