Thermo Scientific

Details:

The Thermo Scientific Orion 087100MD RDO Optical Dissolved Oxygen Probe, 0.00 to 20mg/L features polarographic sensing technology for quick readings and comes with a 30-meter (100€™) cable. Polarographic probes, also called clark cell or ampherometric electrodes, are used in biological oxygen demand (BOD) analysis. Rugged dissolved oxygen (RDO) probes use an optical technology that is not effected by color or turbidity, and suitable for work involving effluent, influent and aeration basins.

This probe features a sturdy optical cap that minimizes maintenance needs with a simple annual replacement, a stainless steel sensor guard, and calibration sleeve. It has a relative DO accuracy of +/-0.1 mg/L up to 8 mg/L, +/-0.2 mg/L from 8 to 20 mg/L at a temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees C, and automatic or manual barometric pressure correction for pressures ranging from 450 to 850 mmHg. The probe can be used with any Orion Star Meter with RDO input.

Dissolved oxygen meters are used in a variety of applications to monitor the amount of oxygen present in water, such as sewage and water treatment plants, pollution control, fish farms, and various types of manufacturing. A probe, also called a sensor or electrode, measures the dissolved oxygen (DO) of a substance to determine the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) of biological organisms in a body of water. It is commonly used for testing water quality such as wastewater, saltwater, groundwater or drinking water.
