The Koehler K28100 Oil Thief Sampler is a core-type sampler for taking samples of liquid, semi-liquid, and solid oils that have a vapor pressure below 101 kPa at ambient conditions. The sampler features a butterfly valve on bottom that allows sampling at bottom or other levels, and three petcocks for draining at different levels. It has a 16" high sample container with a capacity of 33 oz. and graduations every inch from 3" to 14". The sampler body is made of stainless steel and brass with a polycarbonate sample container for compatibility with oils. It conforms to ASTM D4057 Standard Practice for Manual Sampling of Petroleum and Petroleum Products. Also known as a Tulsa oil thief, this sampler is commonly used for crude oil sampling.
