The two plates are supported in two rigid uprights and driven by belt in opposite direction.
They are heavy, high resistance plastic with sectors of aluminium sheet.
Two leyden jars (condensers) made form corning glass and aluminium foil.
The whole body is mounted on a wooden base nicely polished.
The size of Discs of machines is 300 mm i.e. 12"
Principle:
The operating principle of the machine is based on two counter-rotating disks made of insulating material. Each disk has several metal segments attached to it, called sectors. As the sectors pass one another, they induce a charge imbalance on one another. This imbalance is drained off at the collecting electrodes.
