Details: With their light gray exterior and a hard, scratch-resistant hammer finish, these cabinets are as attractive as they are durable. High-impact thermoplastic handles are attached to the doors, and the entire unit features a heavy steel double-wall construction. The interior work space is insulated from the outer cabinet with an inch of high-density mineral wool, and the interiors are paneled with corrosion-resistant aluminized steel. An upgrade to the analog style AF lab ovens, the AFE series features a digital control system. Its full PID microprocessor offers easy temperature setting and stability, with an accuracy of within 0.5C (1F), even in varying ambient temperature or power supply conditions. This helps to confirm stability, or indicate any control malfunction or power loss throughout the process period. Its large LED's continuously display the set temperature and the process temperature, as well as featuring a setting lock mode that helps to protect the unit against accidental or inadvertent adjustments to the temperature. The heating elements are energy-efficient, low-watt density, and incoloy sheathed, and are engineered into a compact design for quick run-up and recovery times. The units temperature uniformity is greatly improved by using a perforated heat shield, which absorbs radiant heat and helps to distribute it more evenly throughout the product chamber. The AFE series has been carefully designed to offer forced-air circulation, which allows for the uniform distribution of heat throughout the chamber, which helps to facilitate the dehydration and evaporation of samples.
