Details: The Frey Scientific 1324338 Analog Ceramic Stirrer has a one-piece ceramic top for stirring glassware and contents between 60 to 1600rpm, includes a seven-inch square hot plate with a chemical-resistant, easy-to-clean, reflective white surface, and has a stir control knob with revolutions per minute (rpm) adjustment markings, a ramping feature that slowly increases speed, a built-in support rod holder with locking knob, and a heat-resistant polymer body. Stirrers are used to stir glassware and contents in laboratories. This stirrer is housed in a heat-resistant polymer body that channels fluids away from internal components. A continuous duty motor delivers dependable and reliable stirring. A stir control knob has revolutions per minute (rpm) adjustment markings. A ramping feature slowly increases speed for safety and enhanced coupling, avoids splashes, improves spin bar control, and provides low-end speed control. Stir protection automatically shuts down the heater if the stirrer motor stops or fails. The built-in support rod holder with locking knob at rear holds a standard threaded support rod to suspend instrumentation such as clamps and probes. The stirrer comes with a 1.5" (3.8cm) polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coated stir bar and a 92" (234cm) detachable, 3-wire cord and plug. Specifications Speed range 60 to 1600rpm Speed stability + or - 2 percent Maximum capacity 2500mL H2O Top plate composition Ceramic Body type Heat-resistant polymer Power supply 120V 50/60 Hz Top plate dimensions 7 x 7 inches (H x W) Body dimensions 4.3 x 9.9 x 14.8 inches (H x W x D) Weight 10.5lb. Researchers, professionals and hobbyists use stirrers to stir a variety of liquids and solutions in chemistry, food and beverage, biology, lab, and home applications. Stirrers can have either a digital or an analog display, and can show stirring speed. Stirrer surfaces are commonly made of ceramic-glass or stainless steel, and have coatings such as porcelain. They come in a variety of dimensions. Some units can work with instruments such as thermometers that can be supported with clamps and rods.
