Details: The Eppendorf Model 5702 R variable-speed, refrigerated centrifuge spins between 100 and 4,400 RPM and accommodates a variety of fixed-and swing-bucket rotors that can be configured for a range of capacities, making it suitable for a variety of lab protocols. The rotor can be used with microcentrifuge tubes, glass and plastic tubes, and cell culture and blood collection tubes. It has two programming keys that store user-defined profiles for routine procedures. Two rotary knobs on the front of the unit allow quick entry of sample variables. A standby cooling mode maintains the selected, refrigerated temperature when the unit is not in use. The centrifuge is designed to be used with heat-sensitive samples in clinical and cell culture labs. The speed variable on the Eppendorf 5702 R centrifuge can be set in increments of 100 from 100 to 4,400 RPM. A fast temperature function can rapid cool the centrifuge chamber, and a standby cooling mode maintains selected temperatures with the lid closed when the centrifuge is not in use. The 5702 R will automatically detect a rotor imbalance, increasing lab and sample safety. Rotors are sold separately.
