Details:

Atago 3921 RX-007 (alpha) is a benchtop refractometer for high accuracy refractive index measurement (1.330150 to 1.341500), Brix (0.000 to 5.000%) scale, and user-defined concentration of liquid samples in a 15.00 to 30.00 degrees C temperature range, has automatic temperature compensation (ATC), and a backlit LCD (320 x 240 dpi) display of measurement readings. A refractometer measures the refractive index of a liquid or solid in a sample, converts it to concentration in units of percent by weight, and displays the results. A Brix refractometer measures the refractive index of a solution in a sample, converts it to sugar concentration in units of percent by weight (% Brix, also known as degrees Brix), and displays the results. Refractometers are commonly used in the optical, chemical, geological, ecological, culinary, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and educational industries, and for water-testing applications.

This refractometer features measurement of water-soluble samples with very low concentrations (5.000% or less) such as tea (green tea, black tea, oolong tea) and low sugar beverages at a very high accuracy of + or - 0.005%. The Atago 3921 RX-007 (alpha) refractometer is housed in a durable, die-cast aluminum metal body for resistance to heat and organic solvents. The unit features ATC for immediate and accurate readings, with an ambient temperature range of 10 to 40 degrees C. Once the sample reaches the target temperature, the backlit LCD (320 x 240 dpi) displays the refractive index, Brix, or the user-defined concentration measurement, along with the current temperature.

A user-defined concentration scale, such as for propylene glycol, can be programmed by entering three sets of frequently used data points. The unit then uses the data points to calculate the concentration. Sample temperature control is provided by either the ATC feature or, for more precise temperature control, an internal Peltier thermo-modu
