Details: These Cole-Parmer horizontal polypropylene magnetic drive Centrifugal pumps offer many features which improve performance. The volute and impeller design allow for high efficiency, resulting in energy usage reduction, especially when compared to other established pump technologies. As a result of the high working pressure, high specific gravity fluids can be safely pumped. Another benefit is the protection against unexpected surges in system pressure. The standard NPT or BSP connections allow for easy installation. The wetted materials of construction were chosen and engineered for aggressive liquids. Pumps feature carbon bushings that allow extended run-dry ability. The thrust balance system has generous balance holes and rear sealing ring to reduce axial thrust. The replaceable dual bushings ride evenly on the shaft for optimal alignment and reliability. The internal spiral groove helps to flush and lubricate the bushings during operation. PTFE bushings are the ideal choice for chemicals like sodium Hypochlorite (bleach), chromic acid, chrome plating solutions, and nitric, chromic, and hydrofluoric acids. Experience up to 70 percent operating efficiency in addition to greater reliability compared to sealed pumps powerful, rare earth magnetic coupling uses standard NEMA (60 Hz) or IEC (50 Hz) motor. Greater efficiency translates into reduction in energy usage. High working pressure safely handles high specific gravity fluids. Superior lift capability lifts fluid from as deep as 25 feet below the pump. Fast priming - primes from 18 feet in as little as 90 seconds.
