The Boekel HC 270600 benchtop digital orbital shaker uses 100/240V at speeds between 250 to 1,400rpm, and has independent control of temperature, mixing speed, and time, a pause feature, an orbital motion range of 2mm, an LED that simultaneously displays set and actual temperature, time, and speed, and comes with an interchangeable thermal block for microtubes. The orbital motion provides uniform mixing with a smooth continuous circular action. An LED simultaneously displays set and actual temperature, time, and speed for ease of operation. The unit comes with a 20-place platform (270690) that holds 1.5/2.0mL microtubes. Additional thermal blocks (sold separately) can accommodate 96-well polymerase chain reaction (PCR) plates and standard/deep well micro titre plates. Applications for this shaker include immuno-chemistry for sample shaking at a constant temperature and biochemistry for enzyme analysis.
This shaker has three programmable modes capable of storing up to ten programmable settings per mode. Mode 1 sets a temperature and mixing control for a set or unlimited period of time. Mode 2 sets a temperature control with a mix/pause function, which controls the length of time that samples are mixed and paused for a pre-determined period of time. Mode 3 sets a temperature and mixing speed for a pre-determined period of time, and then changes to a second set temperature and mixing speed for a second pre- determined period of time. Each mode can be programmed for up to ten custom functions. The unit comes with an AC/DC adapter. This shaker conforms to the Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), and European Conformity (CE) marking standards.
