The Fowler Sylvac Ultra-Light Mark III digital caliper is available in extended measuring ranges of up to 60"/1,500mm for measuring inside dimensions (ID) and outside dimensions (OD), and has 0.0005"/0.01mm resolution for precise measurements. The lightweight aluminum beam is reinforced with stainless steel for ease of handling and durability. The titanium-coated hardened stainless steel external jaws provide corrosion resistance and long life. The carbide internal pins are resistant to wear.
The digital, single-value readout LCD shows inch and metric units for versatility when measuring. It has a zero setting for taking intermediate or differential measurements. This caliper has direct metric/inch conversion, and its hold feature freezes the display for later viewing. It stores two preset references for comparing measurements. Measuring pressure control ensures constant measuring force and parallel pressure on jaws when taking repeated measurements. The knurled lock screw holds the sliding jaw in position and helps ensure a consistent measurement. The maximum measuring speed is 2m/second. The included lithium wafer battery lasts approximately 4,500 hours with continuous normal use. This caliper can output data via an RS-232 cable to capture and record data. It comes with a fitted case.
